Living As A Cancer Survivor - Dealing with COVID-19
Mark Everett Kelly
When you reach my age (turned 46 on March 8th), not that I'm old, you learn to adjust to things better than at an earlier age.
Having said that, I never imagined adjusting to a situation like we are facing with COVID-19 (Corona Virus). We are on shutdown for the next few weeks.
There is promising news coming from ours and other medical industries concerning possible treatments. We also need to expand our facilities here in the United States, so we no longer provide on other countries to supply us with essential materials.
My heart goes out to current cancer patients whose lives have been affected by this due to already compromised immune systems. Chemotherapy & radiation provide such harmful side effects (both short & long term) that I can't imagine the difficulty surrounding the individuals and families of those recently diagnosed.
Please let me know how I can better serve those out there who need help. Sometimes I get so caught up in my own life that I forget what is essential. My main goal in writing this blog is to connect with those whose voice is not heard.
Stay safe. Stay inside, and my prayers are with you and your loved ones.
