LACS: OH, HOW I HATE COVID-19!!! - Part 2

While COVID-19 continues to sweep across the United States, most Americans wait to hear their alarm clock sound. When will this nightmare forced on us end? Welcome to Part Two of my article. Click here for Part One.

Here in the United States, we've witnessed incessant pointing of fingers, blame, hypocrisy, and a Presidential candidate's disappearance. Congress continues to betray us, the President acts alone, while the news media defecates on the memory of real journalists like Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, and Peter Jennings.

Who can we believe?!?!?! 

EXPOSING AN EVIL WHILE OTHERS SLEPT 

It's hard to hold a government accountable without sounding like you blame everyone associated with said country, including innocent citizens. No reasonable person blames the people of China for the evil conduct of their government. However, there is little doubt where and how this pandemic started. I wholeheartedly believe it could and should have been prevented.

I don't care who or what corrupt political party of which someone identifies. Congress, and politicians on both sides going back to President Nixon's administration, sold us out for the almighty dollar. President Trump, continuing his scorched earth foreign policy, finally exposed the party with his trade deals. 

When this nightmare ends, I hope we continue to bring home jobs and anything else built in China. History teaches us a government that murdered at least 100 million people in the last 120 years (which is a very conservation estimate) doesn't value human life much.

WILL WE BE NORMAL AGAIN? WILL WE BE OK??

As a society, I mourn for the countless innocent lives lost, the jobs lost, the small business forced to close, the death of countless innocent people of all races due to do violent mobs. I mourn for the family of George Floyd and other minorities forgotten, including police officers, who gave their lives as riots erupted across the country. 

I'm heartbroken by the political separation created. Families and lifelong friends no longer talk to due to political beliefs. Everyone has a right to their ideas. Everyone has a right to express what and why they believe what they do. It discourages me that people judge one another on a tiny part of what makes them who they are. 

PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A VACCINE COMING SOON!

As far as vaccines, Moderna and AstraZeneca both are in Stage III trials, which precedes F.D.A. acceptance and distribution. While hope existed availability would come as early as October, it won't. Don't expect to see one until early 2021, but I still hope to celebrate Halloween by getting vaccinated!

WILL I BE OK!? WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?!

My search to earn an income is not going well. While applying to 40+jobs, I continue producing original content on my website (for complete list keep reading). Whatever financial buffer I had is long gone, and my failure to recruit sponsors and supporters strengthens my obsessive worries. Every night I pray God provides remote employment or a company, an entrepreneur, or individuals who support my content. 

My belief in God's plan for my life is where I find my identity. I've experienced desperate feelings extending my imagination to find hope, a few times in life. I'm not a quitter, but my current situation scares me more than cancer treatment ever did. I'm starting to doubt why I survived.

I watched fathers, husbands, mothers, daughters, sons, and people experience losing someone valuable due to this disease. The longer I continue to struggle, I embarrass myself, those who believe in me, and God's purpose by blessing me with survival. That guilt destroys me. The comfort and belief He provided surviving bone marrow transplant, I'm wasting.

The cold hard reality is things never will be what we knew before COVID. Too many lives, jobs, and relationships lost, too many innocent people dying alone, too much unnecessary violence. I pray none of that was in vain, and we learn as a society how to prevent another COVID.
